The 22 years since Acapel's creation in September 2001
have been marked by remarkable achievements from the students in Lebanon in an unstable political moment. Current conditions have given rise to fears of a fracturing civil society and hope for the introspection of a society seeking to rebuild itself.
For the past three years, Lebanon has faced an economic downturn. As a result, the education system as a whole has been threatened with collapse as a result of the deep economic crisis that is affecting all sectors of Lebanese civil society.
